Visiting Keswick | From our Ambleside B and B
Keswick has been enjoyed by tourists for many years. It’s a haven for walkers who enjoy the northern fells and only about a 25 minute drive from Ambleside. Keswick is a market town with a bustling town centre, particularly on market day when the world comes to visit.
It bustles even more during festival time, when it counts beer, jazz, walking and film among its main attractions. For the super-fit, there’s an excellent half marathon held annually and wonderful strolls around Derwentwater or Bassenthwaite Lake for the less active.
Keswick is also home to many Visitor Attractions, including the Theatre by the Lake, Cars of the stars motor museum, Cumberland Pencil Museum and the enchanting Castlerigg Stone circle.
