Well visiting Ambleside is easy, as that is where the B&B is located! A simple 60 second stroll and your into the very heart of the town.
You won’t be disappointed by the shopping opportunities; Ambleside may be small, but there’s plenty of interesting and boutique-style shops to keep your wallet twitching. As you’d expect there’s a plethora of walking and outdoors type retail options. There’s a wonderful array of pubs, inns, cafes and restaurants to keep you happy in the stomach department. In terms of entertainment, you can wander down to the pier to catch a boat to Bowness-on-Windermere or Lakeside, or you can catch an up to date movie in one of the 3 small and very stylish cinema complexes.
Ambleside is set in the most breathtaking scenery which can be enjoyed from the boat, or for the more adventurous, from the top of the fells – the views down Lake Windermere are truly stunning, so remember your camera.
